Day One ~ Arrival in Vancouver

Follow the maps and driving instructions included in your ‘On the Road’ travel kit and follow the directions to your downtown Vancouver hotel and enjoy a day of leisure.

and follow the directions to the BC Ferries Terminal and the direct service to Galiano Island in the Pacific Gulf Islands. Enroute, keep a lookout for the Orca Whales that frequent the area. Waterfront accommodation has been reserved for two nights.

Day Two ~ Explore Galiano Island

A round of Golf, a picnic lunch or a killer whale excursion on a 42’ sailboat are all choices that can be made to-day.

Day Three ~ Galiano Island to Mayne Island

A short ferry ride takes you to Mayne Island, steeped in the history of the Gold Rush. Island crafts and visiting nature make a stop at Mayne a must see. Waterfront accommodation has been reserved for two nights.

Day Four ~ Mayne Island

A bird watchers delight Mayne is a major stopover on the flight paths of many migrating birds. The neighboring island of Pender is only a short ferry ride a way. One of the least populated, Pender is a natural paradise of deserted beaches, parks and artists studios.

Day Five ~ Mayne Island to Saltspring Island

Board BC ferries for the short trip to Saltspring Island, calling in at Pender Island en route. Waterfront accommodation has been reserved for three nights.

Day Six ~ Exploring Saltspring Island *

Saltspring is the largest of the Pacific Gulf Islands and hosts one of the Pacific Northwest?s largest artist and craft communities. Visit the studios, the pristine lakes and parks. Explore the local town of Ganges its excellent restaurants and nightly entertainment. Overnight Saltspring Island.

Day Seven ~ Saltspring Island

Music is a large part of the local interest and live bands can be found playing most evenings. Take in a local play at the Artspring Theatre or, if your trip falls on a Saturday, the Saltspring Saturday Market.

Day Eight ~ Saltspring Island to Vancouver

Three ferry connections to Vancouver with frequent departures leave ample time for a little adventure: sea kayaking, a charter salmon fishing trip or more exploring of this island paradise. Return to Vancouver via BC Ferries.
