Things To Do And See On Vancouver Island

Among the many things to see and do on Vancouver Island is taking a unique ride in a float plane to enjoy a view of the city of Vancouver from high above. As you take off and land on the water, your adventure may include a visit to Gulf Island.

You don’t have to go to Africa or South America to experience a rain forest since there is one situated in Stanley Park. Along with the breathtaking experience afforded here, there is a seawall that is ideal for walking, biking and rollerblading. While in the area, make sure you see the totem poles and watch a carving demonstration.

Chinatown is home to a unique garden, Dr Sun Yat Sen Garden which is the only one located beyond the borders of China. In Chinatown, there are opportunities to find everything from traditional paper lanterns to special herbs and seasonings.

Another unique adventure to be found on Vancouver Island is whale watching. A 3 hour ride on 40 passenger catamaran will take you through the waters to see giant orca whales as they feed on salmon. There are estimated to be 3 pods of around 100 whales each waiting for your visit.
